&50 is a solenoid pack failure. &00 is a general transmission control module malfunction. With 160 000 miles I would make sure the fluid was full and clean before I did a visual inspection of the wiring, only because a bulletin was out about some wiring problems they had because of the wiring rubbing against the block. If it looked ok I would replace the solenoid pack and transmission control module. Be careful, the trans may be nect. It's old. Ok
Thinking about this one your probably better off putting a Chrysler reman trans in it. It comes with a new solenoid pack and replace the TCM with a Chrysler reman also. Replace both cooler lines, they come as a pair and flush the cooler in the radiator. Use the quicklearn feature on a scanner to set it up or drive it around for a while until it "relearns" your driving habits. Ok
