hi i have a 1997 intrepid 3.3 engine and 120,000 miles. it is in excellent shape and i do all my own maintenance. recently when turning right [slowly] it stumbles and i have to give it gas to keep it from stalling.otherwise on the straight-away and turning left all is good. on the key/check engine light code is #42, i have checked all wiring and hoses all good. also checked egr-valve any help appreciated caper64

Code 42 means Open or shorted condition detected in the auto shutdown relay circuit. I would check with the relay first. because the relay could be going bad. I have a 97 intrepid and it was doing what you are describing and I moved relays around, and my problem went away so I replaced the relay. So try the relay first.
