1995 Dodge Intrepid Need help finding out what wrong

I changed the battery in my car and after doing so I drove to the store and back. The car shifted to first and second gears just fine but, when going to third it only acted as if it was in neutral and did not shift.

Disconnect the battery - both terminals. Let it sit for a couple of minutes.

Reconnect them Pos side first, then neg.

You just have the pcm a little confused as to polarity.
