1989 Dodge Diplomat sputtering and stalling in gear
1989 Dodge Diplomat V8
replaced the ECM, had the carb rebuilt, oil change, new pin in distributor, for some reason the mechanic didn't give it a full tune up, he only changed the plugs. I can get the car to run now at a normal idle in park, but if you put it in gear it sputters and stalls. driving is worse it acts likes it's getting too much fuel. Any suggestions are appreciated

Have you checked for vacuum leaks? Are you sure it has a carb and isn't fuel injected? Is there any black smoke coming from the exhaust? Finally, has the catalytic converter been checked to see if it is plugged?
