1991 Dodge Daytona Brake Pad Replacement

Taken both front caliper and pads on this 4 wheel disk shelby turbo pad clip poped loose both times and didnt see how. Can anybody describe how that clip goes on

This is the best picture I can find of the clip that I think you are refering to. Is it only the clip that comes off or are the pads too?
