I own a 1999 Dakota with a 3.9 V-6. The truck has 88k miles. The lights were left on and drained the battery. We attempted to jump start, engine spins but no fire.I then charged batt. for a couple hours on the truck.Engine spins fine but still no fire. I left the key in the on position and noticed that the odometer flashed 4 times and then read "no bus"? also the check engine and security lights came on.After several more secounds the low fuel light came on.I did at one point remove a plug and there seemed to be no spark. What can I do to get this thing started, short of having it towed. :|

For a start inspect and test the ASD relay ( Auto Shut Down ) it powers the coil/injector/s/fuel pump.

Located in the Power Distribution Box-

Battery disconnected might need relearning.
