Hi
I would like to figure out why when I'm driving my truck will suddenly kick off all the dashboard lights including the radio and then just as quickly come back on. All the symbols show up and then there is nothing for one second then it seems ok. It's like a hick up. I notified the dealer and they said there were no codes showing up and therefore nothing can be done.

Ok as it is hard to find an intermitent electrical problem I still think a good mechanic can do more then rely on a scanner. Now I would ask if they could take a closer look into it as this type of cluster contains all the hardware and software necessary to serve as a body control module. So that module in the cluster is either a problem or the cluster itself or there is a power problem to the cluster therefore no codes will be set. Let me know how it goes and what you would like to do from here.

Thank you for your advise and I did have my truck back in the dealer today and they did find the headlight switch had internal failure as it warmed up and the resistence was worse. They replaced the headlight switch and is now ok. I will keep at them if this surge continues but hopefully this was the problem and now corrected.
