I have a 2006 Dodge Charger RT. I would like to install a taller gear for more off the line quickness. I know I will loose some top end and more than likely gas mileage.

My question is what else would I have to adjust or modify to install say a 3.55 gear? Would this affect the traction control (ESP)?

Thank you,

No it should not mess with the traction control and won't change mileage a bunch. Now I buy my gears from Tom's Differetials or Randy's ring and pinion, but if you go to Randy's Ring and Pinion he has a calculator that you can plug in known info and it will show how much of an rpm change you will get. So if you know you tire size or diameter and then plug in 60 mph and the gears you have then do it again with the gears you want to go to you will see the rpm difference with that you can kinda figure out what mileage might be like. Now the other issue is you speedometer it will need to be recalibrated and this can only be done with a programmer so you will know how fast you are going. Hope this helps if you have any more questions just ask.
