Can u help I need the fuel pressure specs for 02 dodge grand caravan sport 3.3 L flex fuel tested with gauge and it is @ 60 psi ( not sure if it is a high reading?) And very erratic (jittery) need info on what gauge readings are to be thru test procedure process. How do you test fuel pressure if it is in the gas tank as part of the fuel pump (that is what I was told is it's location) or just bite bullet and buy new pump

Specifications
400 kpa (+/-) 34 kpa (58 psi (+/-) 5 psi)

The fuel pressure specification for the 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport with the 3.3L Flex Fuel engine is typically around 48-55 psi for the fuel rail pressure. Therefore, a reading of 60 psi is slightly higher than the specified range. An erratic or jittery fuel pressure reading can indicate a problem with the fuel system, such as a failing fuel pump or a faulty fuel pressure regulator.

To properly test the fuel pressure, follow these steps:

Fuel Pressure Test: Attach a fuel pressure gauge to the Schrader valve on the fuel rail. Start the engine and let it idle. The fuel pressure reading should stabilize within the specified range.

Key-On Engine Off (KOEO) Test: Turn the key to the ON position without starting the engine. This will activate the fuel pump. The fuel pressure should rise and stabilize at the specified pressure.

Key-Off Engine Running (KOER) Test: Start the engine and let it run. Turn the key to the OFF position while the engine is still running. The fuel pressure should drop slightly but remain within the specified range.

Vacuum/Pressure Test: To check the fuel pressure regulator, disconnect the vacuum hose from the regulator. The fuel pressure should rise by a few psi. Reconnect the vacuum hose, and the fuel pressure should drop back to its original reading.

If the fuel pressure is consistently higher than the specified range, it could indicate a problem with the fuel pressure regulator or a restricted fuel return line. If the fuel pressure is erratic and fluctuates significantly, it may be an indication of a failing fuel pump or a problem with the fuel pump's internal components.

Regarding the fuel pump's location, in most cases, the fuel pump for the 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan is indeed located inside the fuel tank. If the fuel pressure issue is confirmed to be related to the fuel pump, replacing the fuel pump may be necessary.
