I have an intermittent problem with the power window on the passenger door. When it operates there is no sluggishness - works normally. Occasionally it stops completely and then will then start working again. (I also had a recent headlight problem and cleaning the FCM contacts, appeared to cure that issue.) Is it possible that Chrysler used a similar "enhancement" to improve their power windows?

By the way, CarPros led me to the FCM solution - Thanks!

If the problem is intermittent, what you need to do is check the motor to see if there is power to it when it doesn't work. My first guess is there is a broken wire in the door jamb (under the rubber boot). The wiring there has a tendency to break down and only make contact when it is in the right position.

Check if it is getting power as well as the wiring I mentioned. Let me know what you find.

Joe,

Thanks for the suggestions however the window now appears to be working properly since I reseated the BCM for a headlight issue. Since the schematic for the power windows includes (at least minimally) a connection with the BCM, I'm hoping that was the issue. I'm eeping my fingers crossed!

If not, I'll head straight for the booted harness in the door jamb.

Again, thanks!
