Engine Cooling problem 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 140000 miles
The heater lines going to the aux. rear heater have split and rusted pretty bad as far as I can see where they go over the exhaust behind the engine. I would be happy to simply bypass the rear heater, the problem is I cant figure out what lines go where, and getting to them is a real nightmare. It appears that one line comes from the drivers side of the block and goes to a tee behind and above the engine (it is all I can do to fell it because of the location), the other comes from the front of the block and goes to possibly another tee (once again I can't even feel this one). My Question is can I simply take the two lines coming from the engine and run them straight to the heater core outlets on the firewall, I assume the valves must be beyond the firewall, and if so which line goes to the top and which goes to the bottom at the firewall. I have removed the air intake, battery and choke to get some room. Thanks in advance.
