Speedometer quit and now it transmission will not change gears?

I have a van th speedometer quit and now it wont change gears?

Hello,

First you need to check the vehicle speed sensor. It is located on the transmission (see diagram below).
This sends the signal of the vehicle speed to the ECM and having a faulty sensor the ECM will not received the required data, which can prevent the vehicle from shifting.
