howling when driving especially at higher speeds could this be bad brake assembly?

Check if the sound change with slight turn of the steering wheel
and if so check /replace the wheel bearing
brakes make scraping noise

No there is no change in noise when wheel is turned? Could this still be the wheel bearing? It houwles louder at higher speeds, doesn't make near as much noise at low speeds.
i would still check the two front bearings
(it sounds like an air plane )
