Hi. I have a V6 97 Dodge Grand Caravan. I had a new serpentine belt put on 1 month ago. Two weeks later the battery went dead. A day or so later it overheated and I had to replace the temp gauge, water pump and radiator. Last night I drove through a small puddle and lost power steering. Then the vehicle overheated. I have gone to the same place for all these repairs. Now I am wondering if they didn't put on the right belt or have right tension. Would that make the battery die, it overheat?HELP!

THe belt does seem to be a possible common denominator, since it runs the alternator, which charges the battery; the water pump; and the power steering pump. It sounds as if it's too loose, but I'd think you'd hear it squeaking. The tensioner may need replacement.
