My Dodge mini van, caravan 1996 runs fine for about 20 to 30 days then engine dies when accelerate or going up hills, seems like it does not get fuel.
Then if I try to start the van it does crank but does not start. I have to leave it until next morning then the van runs fine for the next 20 days or so, then it stall again.
I have changed the wires, spark plugs, distributor cap, the fuel filter, ignition coil, air filter, catalytic converter, crank sensor, My mechanic checked the pressure of the fuel pump and said that it was ok.
the ignition light comes on but it read a code P300 multiple cylinder misfire.

please can somebody help me or give an idea what to check next.

Sounds like your egr valve is clogged or hung up(partially open). Have it cleaned or replaced, clear codes and check driveability

Thank you for your advice.
I cleaned the egr and I think is working properly. The egr was closed, and add grease to the small piston to allow proper operation of the egr.

Next time the van stall I going to see if the egr stays open.

Thank I will let you know.

This is a continuation for the dodge caravan 1996 stalling.
After all this time, the problem was the FUEL PUMP.
This problem was difficult to pin point, because the pump seams to work properly the pressure of the fuel pump was fine, the question you have to ask yourself its, how old is the pump, In my case the pump was 14 yeas old. It was the original pump.

I decided to change the fuel pump.
Now the My mini van is running fine.

So if you have the same symptoms like I did change the fuel pump.

I hope this would help the 2carpros community.

Thanks to legitimate007 for his input.

And good luck & god bless you guys

Thats great, it was hard for you to diagnose being there, can you imagine how we feel. This was a learning experience, and will keep this in the 2carpros archives. As a good lesson learned. Keep in touch and let me know how things are going with the vehicle
