My wife was driving along when all of a sudden the engine quit, nothing, nada zilch. It will turn over, but no spark to the plugs. I "ass"umed it was the timing chain, so like me, I tore into it, only to find the chain intact. My question, Would it be wiser to replace the chain while I have it torn down, or could this be something else that's major, and I would waste my money doing so. Both of us are disabled, so money is tight. Could it be the modual? And is the ignition module in the distributor, I'm at a standstill, thanks, David (pappy1958)

I would say yes, replace it while you have it apart. It could have jumped, still be in one piece, but no good as long as it isn't timing the top and bottom of the engine correctly. Ok, Good luck.
