Dash went crazy.

I was coming home from work and the check oil light came on. Then the rest of the lights started flashing at the same time as the temp gauge and tachometer started oscilating between the correct measurement and zero. I checked the oil, it was low so I added it. Now when I start the car the dashlights all stay on, the rpms and temp gauge do not work. And the lights on the shift lever (its an automatic) are also dark.

It sounds like you have a cluster that has failed.
