I didn't notice after service that the cruise control no longer worked. I noticed a few months later and have been too busy to deal with it.

I adapted to not having cruise control and rarely think about it.

It has now been over 8 months since the service.

My assumption is that they forgot to hook some wire back up.

The button does not react with any lights on the dash as if disconnected.

The car does not have any lights indicating trouble on the dash.

I know I will need to have it scanned for codes to see if anything shows up.

I am hopeful for information on any possible wire that could have been left unplugged while changing out the actuator or a possible fuse I could check for needing replacement.

Would a wire being disconnected under the dash cause this? If so would it produce a code?

I would not think that they would have needed to remove the steering wheel to cause issues with the wires to the clock spring but it is a possibility.

Appreciate any suggestions. Thank you

Hi,

What needs to be done is to have the can bus system scanned. CAN stands for controller area network. The computers and modules in this vehicle are all tied together via a few wires. By scanning the system, it will identify where the problem exists.

Here is a video that shows how it is done:

The reason I'm suggesting this is because there are a few different modules which control the cruise control. If this is something you can't have done, let me know.

I attached a pic of one set of ECU's just so you can see what I am referring to.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.
