We seem to be having an issue where the engine will just cut out while driving then crank no start intermittently. Give it about twenty minutes and it usually starts fine. Getting plenty of fuel. Injector relay is working fine, but when it does it seems to not get spark until after the twenty or so minutes. Any idea what could be the issue? It is a V6 vg30e.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

Based on your description, my first suspect is a bad crankshaft position sensor. Take a look through this link:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/symptoms-of-a-bad-crankshaft-sensor

The sensor on your vehicle is located in the base of the distributor (under the distributor cap) If you determine it needs replaced, I have attached two pictures for you to help locate and identify it.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe

Found out it was loose connection at the ICM, but upon testing timing slipped so now we got that. Thank you!
