The car started and then shut off, to not start again, it cranks over so I'm pretty sure ignition is good, the theft is not an issue because it cranks, no spark though. So, I'm leading to a bad crank sensor? All fuses and relays are good. New battery, cables need replaced due someone changing side mount to top mount and they crossed their cables, always mark them or one side then the other. Now I'm fixing this for them. Thoughts?

Hi,

A faulty crankshaft position sensor will cause no spark. Have you replaced it yet? Also, has the vehicle run since the battery terminals were switched?

As far as the sensor, if you look below. I attached the directions specific to this vehicle for replacing it. Additionally, I attached the variation relearn related to the sensor.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

joe
