What is the cost for replacing the timing chain/tensioner?

I was told that my timing chain housing leaking oil needs resealing. Since this is a big job and I'm already over 145,000 might as well do the timing chain/tensioner kit as well. Anyone knows how much this job should cost done by competent shop?

Sure, here is the cost of the OEM parts and the labor as well. I have also included diagrams and instructions on how the job is done so you can see what you are paying for. You will need coolant and engine oil with filter as well.

16 - Timing Chain 135060H011 $282.80
No. 2
16 - Timing Chain 1350728010 $108.47

Replace One or Both 5.2 Hours @ the shop's labor rate.

You will need a timing set gasket kit and a set of timing chain guides which should run about $150.00. Here are the instructions on how to replace the timing chain in case you want to do it yourself. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
