Car was sputtering at idle. Took it to the Ford dealership who said the oil was overfilled by the Valvoline Care Service. Also there is coolant in the oil.
Advised a $5,000.00 repair to change part of the engine.
I have to get a new car at the beginning of the year to meet my company policy so I don't want to put that much into a car I have to sell in six months.

Hello,

If your vehicle is mixing oil and coolant together than you more than likely have a blown head gasket. If Valvoline Care Service overfilled your engine oil, I would go back to them and see if they could make this right. Overfilling your vehicle's engine oil could definitely cause your head gasket to fail. I have included a couple of links below for you to go to.

Please go through the guides and get back to us with what you find out.

Thanks,
