My car ran hot for the first time out of the blue with no one whatsoever. I pulled over pop heard there was no coolant in my reservoir and my oil had the milky mixed oil look. My question is, can I drain the oil and filter change out replace my water pump and timing chain without replacing the whole engine? Is it even worth doing or should I just get a new vehicle?

It sounds like the head gasket let go but the engine is going to need to be disassembled. This guide can help you understand the problem better:

You need to decide if the car is worth fixing by its condition and keep in mind that car payments will not stop for 5 to 6 years. I would get some estimates and weigh your options. Please let us know what's happens or if you need help with anything else.
