Hi,

My first suspect is the oil cooler/oil adapter. (See pic 1 below) This is where the engine oil filter is installed. Note that the degas bottle and lower radiator hose connect to it. Coolant runs through it to help cool the engine oil. It sounds like it has failed internally and is allowing coolant to go into the engine.

If you follow the directions in pic 2, they explain how it is removed. This is where I would start to see if there is damage to the adapter or if there is a failed gasket.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

Take a look at the pics I attached below. Is that where you are adding coolant? If it is, that attaches to the coolant crossover assembly. There are two gaskets that may have failed.

If you look at pic 3, I highlighted the gaskets of concern.

Let me know if I have the correct location.

Take care,

joe

Yes, I poured coolant in the crossover assembly on the heater core side (passenger side) and it went directly into oil pan with the engine off.

Hi,

Chances are one of the gaskets failed. I suggest removing the cross-over and inspecting the gaskets. Also, make sure nothing is cracked.

Let me know what you find.
