I just bought this car and the oil gauge reads about 10- 15 psi. Won't go higher, and drops when I cut it off. If I accelerate it stays the same and it's the same at idle. Firestone even overfilled it when the oil was changed the day before I bought it.

Check with a manual gauge first oil light will not come on until 4 lbs of pressure. If it continues it may be to much clearance in rod/main bearings or very high mileage. Which would be normal.

Ok thanks. If it's rod/cam bearings. What would be the life expectancy. How long before a replacement or rebuild. It's not very noisy as far as a major knock or tick. At this time. Whatever knocks it has don't get louder as I give it more gas. Any Ideas?

Hard telling on life expectancy it can go for years but you really don't know if that is the cause. If you just drive it normal it can go for quite a while. If you go mud boggin then it won't last as long. Kind of a screwy answer but that is all I can give you.
