In my 2005 Sebring (2.4L, 4-cylinder) It is difficult to open the filter hood to access the air filter.

I had to move the PCV valve, "unhook" it in the back, remove one screw on the top, no problem.

BUT just when I thought I was "homefree, " I couldnt pull the unit up enough to remove the filter without pulling on the electrical wires on the left side of the box.

Please tell me what I should do!

Thank You,
Steve

My air filter is tubular and sits in the air intake hose, just inside the 'air cleaner housing'

It appears you have to pinch the buttons on the side of the head of the hose, then slide it out to remove the filter.

My problem is that there isnt enough room to pull it out without pulling on the wires on the left.

Also, that picture is inaccurate; see the file showing what my underhood looks like.

Thank You so much,
Steve
