How do I replace the convertable top motor? The top will not function properly.

The pump is located behind the rear seat. If it is like my 1998 sebring, you pop out the botom seat cushion. You then remove seat belt bracket at botom center of back cushion which also holds back cushion in place. Back cushion then lifts straight up. Lift sound barrier flap to view pump. Pump has 2 hoses to two lift cylinders (one on each side. Cylinders can be viewed by removing side trim panels(screws hold them in place including screws in speaker panels). If motor whirs-it may not be motor. Pump uses dextron tranny fluid and there is a fill plug at end of motor. I had a broken line which I was able to repair with a compression fitting which I bought at the hardware store. To replace you will either have to get parts at dealer or junk yard. To bleed air, run top part way up and down several times. During process you may have to add fluid more than once. Good Luck!
