Accidentally put desiel fuel (8.5gallons) in my car.
Will this cause a lot of damage? Engine light is on and car won't start. When I realized my mistake I stopped fueling and put regular unleaded in tank to dilute (4.5 gallons). Drove home about five miles.
What should I do?

Pt cruiser 2007 750 miles 4 cyliner.
Accidentally put 8.67 gallons of deisel fuel in tank, when I realized my mistake I tried to dilute with 4.36 gallons of unleaded regular. Will this cause a lot of damage? I drove home five miles. Car engine light is on and car won't start now. What should I do next?
