Ok so I have this car that runs great, and I was told that there is a coolant tube under the intake that goes bad in these 3.0 mitsu engines. However after removing the intake upper and lower I find a large tube that the small tube goes into. Do I need to change the whole huge tube in the valley there or am I missing something. Original problem has coolant comming out of what looks like the side of the transmission.

The vehicle runs fine.I wont let it get to temp or overheat but runs great until I turn it off.P.S. There is no oil in coolant or coolant in oil. Oil looks great and coolant while it stays in looks fine as well coolant bottle never drops but radiator empties pretty quick when it get a little heat. Top of the transmission there are 2 holes that the coolant seems to be spewing from. They are maybe a 1/4 inch holes and I wouldn't beleive them to be freeze plug locations. Please help!

Your problem describes a leaky water pump, as it gets worse, the longer you wait, I am sure, you either sold the car or replaced the pump already
