2001 Chrysler Concorde jumped timing

I have a 2001 2.7L chrysler concorde and I was on the highway and it just stop mechanic told me that It had jumped timing I'm not clear on what that means or how much is should roughly cost for me to get it fix HELP!

That means your timing chain skipped a couple of teeth and will need a belt replacement and timing reset, when timing is off it will run badly and take extra tries to start, if it starts at all, also you can do really serious damage to the valves if it skips again then you need a valve job
