The problem that I am having is that the instrument cluster was working intermittently. The gauges worked and then stopped working. When the instrument cluster showed the mileage the car would start up and stay running. When the instrument cluster showed that 0 miles on the cluster and no gauges the car would start up and then stall out again. Now the car is saying 0 miles and will stay running. I have check the fuses and also tried retrieving the trouble codes. When trying to retrieve the trouble codes it says no communication. What should I do from here?

More than likely this is a cluster issue. These vehicles have a logic circuit board in the cluster so if there are no issues outside of the cluster then this is likely the issue.

We need to check this by picking one of the systems that is malfunctioning and make sure you are getting voltage on that circuit coming into the cluster.

Here is a guide that will help with this:

If you are then that is pointing to a cluster issue.

I am attaching the wiring diagram below that will help with this.

Plus, I am attaching the info from the manual on how to replace the cluster as I suspect this is what is needed.

Thanks
