2007 Chrysler Aspen replacing rear brake pads.

I have the brake caliper off and removed the retaining clips. But for the life of me, cant get the old pads out, and the new ones in. PLEASE HELP!

Just tap on the pads inward with a hammer.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that. The brake pads are loose. I can move them around with my fingers. But cant get them out of the calipar.

Either way, if the pads are mounted in the mount, tap into the middle and they should fall out, if held onto the caliper, tap towards the middle and they will fall off. If it some crazy setup, can you upload a photo?
