Hello -

To better assist you is your vehicle just a Venture or a LS or LT. Also please tell me the engine size in liter and the 8th digit of the VIN.

Also, does this have a video entertainment system on it?

Is the AC automatic or manual?

Do your heater seats or rear window washer and daytime running lamps work?

Venture LS, engine size 3.4 liters with VIN # 4D270464. No video entertainment on it and A/C is manual.

Heater seat not working but window washer works. Dayime Running Lamp (DRL) not working either.

Fuses and relays are OK.

Hello -

Thanks for the info... Very helpful... You may have misunderstood on one of my questions though... Can you provide the 8th digit..... Counting from the left to the right..... If you are unsure just provide the entire VIN.....

I am reviewing several wiring diagrams so wanting to make sure we are saying the same thing.

Your HVAC suddenly stopped..... No heat no AC..... Nothing.......

No lights on the dash....... And the AC clutch doesn't engage when selected.....

When you first start the vehicle see if the radiator cooling fans are working... Then turn the AC on... Do they come on?

When you say the fan is not working... Are you talking about the radiator fans? If so... They don't come on at anytime even after the car is at operating temp?

The blower for the inside... Doesn't' work at all in any position.......

Seat heater is NOT working.....

I was unsure of your reply.....I want to make sure we are taling about the rear window wash... Does it work?

Does the front work?

Daytime running lamps are NOT working.

Is the Drivers Information Center working?

Is the Rear window defogger working?

Next, please go to Auto Zone (AZ) or O'Reilly's (OR) and for FREE they can pull the codes to the car. Most important: Once they check your codes, if they find something and you don't get it fixed and need to get back with us, please make sure you tell us exactly what the code was, number and all. Example, if the code was E0568 O2 Sensor bad. Then make sure you give us all of that. While there for FREE also they can bring their tester out and check your battery and alternator.

Let me know what you find out.......

Hello -

Great - glad you got it fixed and truly - thank you for the update on the problem. That will help us and others.

With that - I am not sure where you got it done at, but it all seems reasonable other than the part price. I show they charged about $114 more than what I show. Now... My price may be off. So again, I would just check a couple of different parts departments for that part and make sure it is the same or close to it.

Last, looks like you may have some recalls on your vehicle. The dealer may fix these for free. Please contact the dealer service department, give them the VIN number of your car and have them check on these to see if they apply to you.

Thanks for the recalls information. Here's the final job. They changed the ignition switch-electrical and ignition switch-cylinder. According to the Technician, He took the dashboard off to reach for the ignition switch -electrical which was more painful so, they charged me $222.00 for that. While the cost of the parts was $268.65 for both. But I called the dealer here in San Jose, CA it was just $140.00 for ignition-electrical and $30 for ignition cylinder. Diagnose for $99. I paid a total of $513.00. I'm not going back there again. Fooled me once shame on him, Fooled me twice shame on me.

Hello -

Well, sorry to hear that... You may consider writing them a letter... And let them know you are letting the Better Business know. May not do any good... But at least you were able to let them know.

Glad you are up and running though.
