If I try to turn on my car it starts up fine, however if I don't press the gas pedal it wont stay on. It will turn of. I don't have any check engine lights or anything like that. I haven't taken my van in for a tune up and haven't changed any filters.
I always change the oil and the van gives me no other problems.

Thank You

Check the idle air control valve/throttle position and coolant temperature sensor-to include the PCV and EGR valves.

I am having the same problem with my 2005 Chevy Uplander. Not as bad as noted by Diazkarolina, but once in a while it stalls the first couple of attempts at starting without a shot from the gas pedal.

Rasmataz, where would I find the items you listed (valve/throttle position and coolant sensors)? Do you have a quick tutorial?
