I had a growling in the left front and my ABS light came on intermittently. I took it in and had the hub and bearing replaced. The ABS light came on the very next day. When the technician attempted to hook it up to the scan tool, it was unable to communicate with the module. He was unable to pull any codes from the van. Everything works on the van. All the lights, all the chimes, all the heating controls, everything! I was wondering if there was possibly an accessory fuse that could be blown that was causing there to be a lack of communication between the scan tool and the module. (I know on older models, sometimes if the fuse for the cigarette lighter for blown, that would do it.) Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. That intermittent ABS light is driving me crazy! Thanks!

Yes if the obd2 power isnt there you wont communicate with the car. While it not read the engine codes either? The fuse for the obd2 connector would be the# 6 onstar fuse

The scan tool will not communicate at all with my van. It won't read any codes at all. There is no cigarette lighter and all the accessory power ports are working. Is there a specific fuse that allows the communication?

See if fuse number 6 in the inside fuse box on the right hand side has power to both sides should have power all the time.
