I have this pick up that dies itermittetly. You can drive it and it runs fine one time and then the next time you drive it it will die going down the road. Sometimes it will start back up right away and some times if you wait a day it will start back up. I have had it to 4 different mechanics and no one can figure it out. It has had new fuel pump new cap and rotor new battery new alternator new ignitchion switch installed on it and it still does the same thing.
do you have any ideas or have you heard of this happening to other pick ups.
Thanks for your ideas

When it won't restart, does it have fuel and spark to the engine? One will be missing and I need to know which one. An easy way to check it by trying to start it with starting fluid. If it starts for a few seconds, then you're getting spark and no fuel.

Try it and let me know what you find. Also, let me know if the check engine light came on for you.
