My idle fluctuates when I switch from the heater to the defroster. The RPM's go up and then down. Then the car shuts off. No lights come on in the dash either. I took it to the shop, and they told me I needed a tune up, because there was a misfire I am still having the same problem. PLEASE HELP.

When you turn on defroster it turns on the a/c, so an idle fluctuation up is normal, but it shouldnt die. Try cleaning out the throttle bore around the butterfly with carb spray and a rag. If doesnt help it might need a new throttle body.
