2002 Chevy Trailblazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

when I turn the a/c on. My car idles real low and shuts down. My husband was thinking it could be something like an idle sensor gone bad when I turn the a/c on. Could someone please tell me the name of the part thats gone bad.I really need to get this fixed asap. Thanks soo much!

Has the check engine light come on? It could be the idle air control valve or throttle position sensor. However, without a check engine light, it becomes a guessing game.

Let me know what you find.
