2002 Chevy Trailblazer AC Levels

2002 Chevy Trailblazer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 2002 and my AC goes only to level 4 when it should go to level 5 what is the problem with my AC unit?

Are you saying the fan doesnt blow that high. Sould like a blower resistor is shorted and needs to be replaced

If so then why does the 1, 2, 3, 4, levels work then when you switch to the 5th then it shuts off. Does the 5th level have its own resitor. It would seem logical to only have one resitor for the control levels, then to have just a seperate one for the 5th level and one for the other four levels or does each level have its own resistor?

Some of them had a blower motor module (resistor)that controlled them. Yes it would and could only take one speed out. I would check there. It is located under the passenger side dash.
