Hi, I have a 1998 S10 Blazer that the third brake light, or high mount brake light isn't working. I checked the fuse, it was fine, replaced it anyway, and it still won't work. Any ideas on how to further troubleshoot this problem?

How can I remove it if I need to replace it?

Thanks!

I have a 96 Chevy Blazer that I found out the whole brake strip had to be replaced. I also found that the bulbs in the third brake light have to be replaced by the dealer. To take it off there is two bolts attaching it take those off and that is what holds it. If it needs to be replaced the wire runs under the panel right at the back window.

Hello,

First check to see if you are getting power to the third brake light connector.

If you have power but the light is not illuminating, then it is likely a faulty light strip and needs to be replaced. Simply take off those two screws that keeps the light in place to remove and replace.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
