1998 Blazer blinker

I have a 1998 blazer the blinker sound keeps going even when the blinker isn't in use, it stops when I use the brakes, any ideas as to what could be wrong?

Sound like it could be in the flasher it's self might want to start there, Cheep and easy. Othe wise could be in the turn signal mechinism in the colum. I would start with the flasher first though.
