Recently replaced the serpentine belt, a/c belt, tensioners and pulleys for both, water pump, and thermostat and my truck is still making a squealing noise. I saw on another answer, it could be the alternator bearings. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

First try cleaning all the pulley surfaces with a mild solvent, like brake clean, there may be rubber from the old belt adhered to the pulleys, this can make then squeal like a stuck pig.

Hey everyone, our 2008 Tahoe started squealing after we replaced the worn manufacturer's belt. We changed the belts twice, we purchased these belts from autoparts stores. We decided to get a belt from the dealership, it cost about $20 more. This belt was different it was not a generic belt, it was made for this particular truck. Guess what it worked! No more squeaks.
