1999 Chevy Tahoe valves

I have a problems in the mountains. Going up the vehicle has a loss of power and will start to shake. The dealer said it is the valves. I am not able to put it in the shop yet but I am wondering if there is a gas or oil treatment I can use in the mean time until I can fix it?
I do not want to use something that will hurt the engine or cause problems later.

Hi
You can try SeaFoam to clean valves and seats but if valves and seats are worn and do not seal then no additive will help.
Was a compression test done? Leak down test?
