I have a 1999 Tahoe and had the Tranny Rebuilt about 14 months ago. At the time the tranny was rebuilt I was in need of a motor as well, but funds were limited. So I had a local tranny shop rebuild it and then it sat for a year. Well I just recently had a Remanufactured Engine Installed. Upon Installation they ran a diagnostics to check everything was in order when they were finished. Everything checked out fine, but they said it came back with only one code showing up. Code 748 which is the pressure control solenoid. I am experiencing "hard" shifts. Now at about 200 miles on rebuilt tranny and new motor. I was wondering if there was anywhere online I could find instructions on replacing it. I have been unable to locate any. I understand it's right under the tranny pan and filter. I am pretty mechanically inclined rebuilt my FE 410 big block from bottom to top in my 1967 mercury parklane and it runs like a scalded dog, lol. Although I can say I have never changed a pressure control solenoid. Also are all the solenoids located together in the tranny such as 1-2, 3-4 shift solenoids? And should I replace them all while I am in there or just stick with the pressure control one since thats the only one reading fault code? Thank You for your time and any help as I have ordered the PCS and am awaiting shipment.
