1999 suburban 1500: 210,000 miles
My mechanic put in new manifold gaskets because it was leaking antifreeze. When I got it back the oil pressure gauge was all the way to the right. A couple of months later the transmission went out. They rebuilt the transmission, but when they went to start it the oil pressure gauge was down to 0, no reading. I don't want to drive it with no reading on the oil pressure gauge. Any ideas as to what to do next?

Thanks for your time.

Just replaced mine on a 2003 suburban. Tools needed 1 1/16" deep socket, swivel, extension and ratchet. If you are standing in front of the truck it's on top at the rear of the block...just behind the intake and slightly to the right. I had to use a mirror to locate the part, but once you locate it, it isn't bad. Most of the work will be done by feel. Good Luck.
