THIS JUST STARTED NOT TO LONG AGO, BUT IS VERY INTERMITANT, THE ENGINE WILL JERK AND THEN ACT LIKE ITS NOT GETTING FUEL OR SPARK CANT TELL WHICH WE UNPLUGGED THE EGR THINKING THAT IS WAS THE PROBLEM AS IT CAME UP IN THE CODES, IT RAN GREAT FOR AWHILE NO PROBLEMS. I HAVE CHANGED THE IGNTION MODUAL THE SPARK PLUGS THE FUEL FILTER AND WIRES, IT WAS RUNNING GREAT UNTIL I DID THAT AND THE THE STALLING AND WONT START ISSUE HAPPENED AGAIN IT WILL DIE BUT MOST OF THE TIME WILL START RIGHT BACK UP I AM AT A LOSS. I WAS TOLD MAYBE THE CATALITIC CONVERTER MAY CLOGGED BUT MY MECHANIC SAID HE DIDNT BELIVE IT WAS BECAUSE ONE THIER IS STILL EXAUHST COMING FROM THE TAIL PIPE AND THE CONVERTERS ARNT GLOWING RED. I AM AT SUCH A LOSS AND WE ARE TO TAKE A BIG TRIP IN3 MONTHS

Ok I dont think it is a cat either as they don't behave that way when they go bad. Now how long ago was the tune up done? What cap did you use? Was it a brass tip or aluminum tip? According to the service bulitens on this style of cap you are not to use a brass tip cap you should use one with aluminum tips. Also check to make sure that the cap and rotor are on tight and didn't loosen up. Get back to me and we will go from there.

Ok when it stall is when you need to do a fuel pressure test to determine if the fuel pump is causing this. If you get this get back to me with the fuel pressure. The fuel pressure needs to be 60-66 psi to start and should be 55 psi running. Now has anyone check the fuel lines under the upper plenum. These can brake and cause this problem too or the fuel pressure regulator. Now they make a fuel line repair kit if the fuel lines cracked under the plenum and they also make a pressure regulator too. If the fuel lines are cracked you will only find out by pulling the upper plenum half off and where the fuel lines hookup to it, it will be very clean around there and you may have a little fuel puddled up maybe not. Let me know what you find.

Geat glad it was found. Sometimes the only way to find it is for it to happen. If there is anything else just ask. I will do what I can.
