Truck periodically won't start

I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500 4x4 with 60,000 miles and a 6.0 liter engine. For several years I have had a problem with it not starting at any given time. The dealership changed a fuel pressure regulator stating low pressure, no help. The fuel pump engages, the engine turns over, for a split second it sounds as though it will start. It is as if there is no fuel. It could start fine for months with no problems. Sometimes if it sets for several minutes it will start, sometimes it takes longer. The Security light will come on at times even when driving as well.
Please Help

This sounds like the same issue my parents 99 pickup as well, After number of times going to the dealership, My parents took it to another one, They found out the problem, Also they had an issue with the anti theft system going off/on while driving, In which, What was cause thing the problem the anti-theft relay was acting up.

Issues happened for the anti- theft relay was replaced, engine wouldn't crank, The theft light would flash.

Hepe this helps everyone else.

Good luck
