grabby clutch

93 sierra 120k, 4.3 liter with 5 spd. Clutch is REALLY grabby after replacing with new. Pedal feels good, just no modulation. Not sure if mechanic replaced flywheel or just shaved it. Why would the clutch be so grabby? It's extremely hard to shift and take off from a stop smoothly. Slave and master cyl seem to be ok, no leaks.

if you did not have this problem before , i would have to say either a faulty disc , disc in backwards , faulty pressure plate , slave cylinder is bypassing it could be working but not properly , i owuld take it back to the guy who worked on it , dump the headache on him while you watch a game on the tube , this is not your problem let him pullit back apart and figure it out
