If all other factors are held constant, does fuel economy (number of miles per gallon of gas) increase or decrease with an increase in engine RPM? For example, is fuel economy lower at 3,000 RPM as opposed to 2,000 RPM or 1,000 RPM?

Lower RPM the more gas milage you recieve. Think of over drive vs drive u can go 55 in drive and maybe have 3k RPM but if you shift to overdrive it may go down to 1.5K RPM and you can hear the motor strain less.
