My old truck has recently had an issue with stuttering and a loss I performance. When I start it up it runs great but then after a few minutes it starts stuttering very badly, especially at low rpms. If I shut it off and then start it again it runs fine for a few seconds and then goes back to stuttering. Also one thing that is weird is that after it has sat for about a day it takes about 5 seconds of cranking to start but if it has been less than a few hours it starts right away. Any help is greatly appreciated, I would really like to see this thing running good again.

I would check fuel pressure and spark, make sure your wires arent arcing against the block. Take a look at them see if they are brittle or need to be replaced. I would do that anyway and take it from there. You would be surprised at what a simple plugs and wires will do. I'll send you a video on how to check spark and fuel pressure.

Thanks alot for the advice. Would the spark issue cause my problem to happen every now and then? Im asking this because sometimes I don't have this problem but then the next day it might come back.

Well I finally replaced the spark plugs and wires and it ran great until it warmed up. Then it went back to stuttering. Any other ideas? Just a refresher, it idles fine, runs fine when going easy on it but then when I give it a bit more gas it sputters terribly and has absolutely no power. If I shut it off and restart it funs good again for a few seconds then goes back.
